Manual de enfermería para la posición y contención del recién nacido

Abstract

Debido a la disminución de la fuerza y tono de la musculatura del recién nacido y prematuro se pueden generar secuelas a largo plazo por resultado de una posición inadecuada. Una de las actividades fundamentales del personal de enfermería es proveer al prematuro de métodos que ayuden a mantener la autorregulación, posición adecuada, descanso, termorregulación y limitación del dolor. El objetivo de la presente investigación documental es describir la posición y contención que se debe realizar en los recién nacidos. Mediante una investigación documental que será realizada en el lapso entre marzo 2024 hasta febrero 2025, en la Facultad de Enfermería y Nutrición de la Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, la cual se planeó en tres fases: Búsqueda de información: Se abordo con la metodología de búsqueda sistemática donde se partió de la utilización de buscadores booleanos tales como AND y OR en bases de datos como Bireme, Creativa, Elsevier, PubMed y Scielo. Recopilación de información: En base a publicaciones de la literatura con un lapso no mayor a 8 años, con uso de los siguientes descriptores, contención del recién nacido, facilitated Tucking, posicionamiento neonatal, neonatal positioning contención neonatal, newborn positioning, donde se procedió a clasificar la información y analizarla. Construcción del proceso de los resultados: En donde se realizó el manual que aportará información a los profesionales de la salud a poder realizar la práctica de posición y contención del recién nacido con base científica y actualizada. El resultado será la elaboración un manual sobre posicionamiento y contención del recién nacido.

Due to the decrease in the strength and tone of the muscles of the newborn and premature infant, long-term consequences can be generated as a result of an inadequate position. One of the fundamental activities of the nursing staff is to provide the premature infant with methods that help maintain self-regulation, adequate position, rest, thermoregulation and pain limitation. The objective of this documentary research is to describe the position and containment that should be performed on newborns. Through a documentary research that will be carried out in the period between March 2024 and February 2025, at the Faculty of Nursing and Nutrition of the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí, which was planned in three phases: Search for information: It was approached with the systematic search methodology where it started from the use of Boolean search engines such as AND and OR in databases such as Bireme, Creativa, Elsevier, PubMed and Scielo. Information gathering: Based on literature publications with a period of no more than 8 years, using the following descriptors: newborn containment, facilitated tucking, neonatal positioning, neonatal positioning, newborn positioning, where the information was classified and analyzed. Construction of the results process: Where the manual was created that will provide information to health professionals to be able to carry out the practice of positioning and containment of the newborn with a scientific and updated basis. The result will be the development of a manual on positioning and containment of the newborn.
